Welcome to my Art Blog! This is where I get to show off “The Art In Me.” I am a multidisciplinary artist with a passion for all the arts! I’ve spent my life engaging in various forms of art; from photography, videography and editing to painting, sketching and sculpting and everything in between. I hope you enjoy my work, my musings and get a glimpse into who I am. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit my website and view my work, I really appreciate you! Have a blessed day!

  • A Return to Self

Today is beautiful. I’m cruising down the Glenn Highway with no specific destination in mind other than to find a place where my soul feels at peace. I really needed a vacation to wind down from all the heavy that was burdening my mind. I’ve always loved nature, and spending over 37 years of my life in Alaska has given me a deep appreciation for Gods creation.

Beautiful Mountains surround me here in the Matanuska Susitna Valley. Rivers, forests, lakes and wildlife are always there; a peaceful escape. Breathing in the cool clean air, surrounded by beauty and peace, it relieves something in me, a need to meet everyone’s demands. Here I can rest, in my Fathers hands, surrounded by his sweet creation; He restores my soul. We all get bogged down and busy with life so it’s important for our own mental, emotional and physical health, to take time for ourselves. Real down-time, to breathe, to reconnect with our own goals and dreams.

  • The Art in Me

I think one of the greatest things is watching someone light up in front of a camera. There’s a certain power in capturing moments in time. You can walk through most homes and see family photos and art hanging on walls in someones home. We are connected with each other, a species that can choose to see the intrinsic beauty in anothers life. We are all works of art expressing ourselves as we interact with the world around us. Here I can share my thoughts, my heart, give you the chance to see the world through my eyes. I hope you see the art in me and find something you can connect with.

  • Fearless

Gazing out across the distant horizon, sounds floating along the eddies of the wind. They tumble past me, loud yet distant as I take in the scene before me. How beautiful is the world we live in, how limitless; brimming with possibilities! My journey only ends when I stop, and stopping is not an option. I am fearless…

The Wyvern Scrolls

I am absolutely in love with dragons. I designed this book cover in tribute to that love, as well as to display my artistic capacity in illustrator. I don’t generally sketch out my digital drawings before jumping into illustrator, I like to work out my drawing right in the program. This particular piece was a lot of fun and helped me hone my skills in shading and color blending in Illustrator.

Alaskan Moon

Alaska Moon is an art project I originally created for a classroom assignment. I took an outline sketch of just the whale (created by Daniel Walter Scott) and then turned it into the final art piece you see below. I like to display some of my artwork as book covers because I would love to take part in designing book covers professionally. This piece taught me about gradients in Illustrator and how to maximize my vision into a reality.

The Gentle King

On a rare occasion I will play around with digital painting. It is something I enjoy though I find it to be a cumbersome process to create fine art pieces in Photoshop. The Gentle King is one of my first original digital paintings I created. I am in love with this particular drawing because of the time it took and I think I nailed it!
