They Wyvern Scrolls

I am absolutely in love with dragons. I designed this book cover in tribute to that love, as well as to display my artistic capacity in illustrator. I don’t generally sketch out my digital drawings before jumping into illustrator, I like to work out my drawing right in the program. This particular piece was a lot of fun and helped me hone my skills in shading and color blending in Illustrator.

Alaskan Moon

Alaska Moon is an art project I originally created for a classroom assignment. I took an outline sketch of just the whale (created by Daniel Walter Scott) and then turned it into the final art piece you see. I like to display some of my artwork as book covers because I would love to take part in designing book covers professionally. This piece taught me about gradients in Illustrator and how to maximize my vision into a reality.

The Last Frontier

Living in Alaska is an adventure, there’s so much to do in the great outdoors and this state is simply stunning. This fun little postcard series is in tribute to my love of Alaska.

The Gentle King

On a rare occasion I will play around with digital painting. It is something I enjoy though I find it to be a cumbersome process to create fine art pieces in Photoshop. The Gentle King is one of my first original digital paintings I created. I am in love with this particular drawing because of the time it took and I think I nailed it!

Interior Design

I decided to try my hand at creating patterns and some fun illustrations for pillows and bedding.

Boho Girl

I’ve been practicing human features in Illustrator and came up with this drawing recently. I really like the way she turned out. Super cute, super sweet, my little boho girl.

The Multiverse

Continuing to work on drawing human features and working with shadow and light. This particular piece ended up with a spiderman multiverse feel, really enjoyed my time on it! Done in Illustrator.

The Art of Exploration

This was a piece done in illustrator. I find myself falling in love with the program and spend hours playing around. This is a mural I created recently from an image that popped up in my mind.

Midnight View

Continuing the art of exploration into human features, light and shadow in vector illustration. This piece I really worked on the depth of the human eye and all it’s beautiful intricacies. While this piece still has an animation quality, I find my ability to reach towards humanism and realism in my vector art illustrations increasing.

Syl

I drew syl originally as a hand drawn pastel sketch while out on a nature walk with one of my favorite people. She is wise, light hearted and vivacious. Syl (Sylvia) reminded me of a character from a series of Brandon Sanderson novels “The Stormlight Archives” named Sylphrina which was often shortened to Syl . Sylvia not only shared a similar name (I called her Syl) but her personality and inner light drew strong parallels to the books character. This drawing is of the beautiful and colorful life my friend exudes. I decided to translate this piece into Illustrator for practice and to dedicate syl to my digital library.

Free To Be Me

Another year gone

Another art piece completed and a thoughtful poem as I celebrate my 50th birthday today.

A tear for another year gone. Life goes by so fast and it's our memories that last, so remember to cherish the important things, the people and connections that bring life to our world.

Tiger Geiger

My newest art piece is a celebration of my personal growth in art. I was challenged to draw a tiger for my boyfriend who this piece is named after. Having people in your life who are supportive of your work is a huge blessing.

The Phoenix

My newest art piece, an ode to harry potter and the order of the phoenix and my love of fantasy genre.

The Druid

My newest fantasy art piece comes from a long discussion with my nephew about various D&D characters. I decided to challenge myself to draw my own character that is a fawn humanoid druid of the Endless forest.
